In line with the Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) and the Pacific Roadmap for Strengthened Climate Services (PRSCS), PSS worked with the Government of Fiji, specifically the Fiji Meteorological Services (FMS) to develop Fiji’s National Implementation Plan for Enhanced Climate Services.

As part of this work, ClimateABILITY’s Director Amanda Amjadali and her team (in her former role as co-Director of PSS) conducted a train the trainer for the FMS Climate Services Division staff and facilitated a national consultation workshop with key stakeholders to inform the development of the Framework.

The workshop concluded with Fiji’s first National Climate Outlook Forum where FMS presented the seasonal climate outlook for the upcoming three months.
